Our commitment to making inflation education accessible to everyone.
Our Commitment
NostalgiaFlation is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to achieve this.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Have Taken
Proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA labels throughout
All interactive elements are fully keyboard accessible with visible focus indicators
Skip-to-content links on every page for efficient keyboard navigation
Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images across the site
Content reflows properly at all zoom levels up to 400%
Accessible cookie consent dialog with keyboard-operable controls
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. The following known limitations are areas we are actively working to improve:
- Chart Visualizations: Some interactive charts in calculators may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide equivalent text-based data tables where possible.
- Third-Party Content: Advertisements served via Google AdSense are managed by Google and may not meet our accessibility standards.
- Color Contrast: Some decorative elements may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio requirement, though all essential text and interactive elements do.
- PDF Documents: Older downloadable resources may not be fully tagged for accessibility.
Testing Methods
We test our website using the following methods and tools:
- Manual keyboard navigation testing across all pages
- Google Lighthouse accessibility audits
- Axe DevTools automated accessibility scanning
- WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool
- Screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver
- Browser zoom testing up to 400%
- Color contrast analysis using WebAIM Contrast Checker
